What type of wildflower season will we
have in 2008?
Poor spring rains may decrease some
wildflower shows, but it should still be
good.
Jim Battagin, professional
botanist from Quincy, says it will be a
good to fantastic wildflower year because of the
abundance of snow and rain this winter.
(March, 2008)
Joe Willis, naturalist and high
school/college teacher, also thinks it will
be a great year because we're having a lot
of moisture after several relatively dry
years. Still, it depends also on the pattern
of warming this spring, and frosts. "I'm
optimistic though" said Joe. (March
2008)
