Welcome to the Plumas County camping and RV
camping page. Plumas County boasts hundreds of
campsites and RV campgrounds. Many of them in
alpine lake and forested, streamside settings.

Plumas County.
Generally,
the U.S. Forest Service, Pacific Gas and
Electric Co., and state and national parks are
open from April to October, depending on
weather. Those campgrounds at higher elevations
usually open in mid-to-late May.
Pets are allowed at all campgrounds.
The U.S. Forest Service campground fees run
between $20 and $22 for a single family
campsite. PG&E fees average $22
-$27 for a
family campsite. Lassen Volcanic National
Park fees are $10 to $16. Plumas Eureka
State Park campsites are $20 and $6 for
extra cars. Senior and off-season discounts
are available.

Reservations:
Most of the U.S. Forest Service and Lassen
Volcanic National Park non-group campsites
are on a first-come, first-served basis.
However, reservations can be made (fee charged)
at 877-444-6777 or
online
at the following campgrounds: Almanor,
Hallsted, Spanish Creek, Red Feather, Running
Deer, Horse Camp, Lakes Basin, Chilcoot and all
campgrounds located in the Lake Davis, Frenchman
Lake and Antelope Lake recreation areas.
Concessionaires reserve roughly half the sites
at these campgrounds, while the other half
remain first-come, first-served.
Plumas-Eureka State Park
campsites may now be reserved.
